Cookie usage
TaskFlow uses a small amount of browser storage to keep sessions secure and preserve interface preferences.
How browser storage is used
Authentication can rely on cookies to maintain a signed-in session. TaskFlow also stores the selected theme preference in local browser storage so the interface can stay in Light, Dark, or System mode.
| Storage | Duration | Purpose | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Authentication session | Session-dependent | Keeps signed-in users authenticated across requests. | TaskFlow / Better Auth |
| taskflow-theme | Until removed | Stores Light, Dark, or System theme preference in local storage. | TaskFlow |
| taskflow-cookie-consent | Until removed | Remembers whether non-essential cookies and similar storage were accepted or rejected. | TaskFlow |
| Cloudflare security cookies | Varies | May be used when Cloudflare security or challenge features are active. | Cloudflare |
Non-essential storage
Non-essential cookies or similar browser storage for analytics and performance must stay disabled until you choose Accept all. Rejecting non-essential storage does not affect authentication, security, or the interface preferences needed to provide the service.
Managing stored data
Browser settings can be used to inspect, block, or delete cookies and local storage. Blocking authentication storage can prevent sign-in from working correctly. You can also reopen the consent banner and change your non-essential storage choice at any time.
